Red Team Exercise for Product Teams

A proactive exercise to make your strategy more resilient and robust.
A is a designated set of people that act as a competitor (or other external party). Red teams help to proactively counter strategy groupthink and test previously accepted assumptions.
To test your team’s strategy, run the exercise below. You start by outlining or linking to your current strategy. Then ask a few people outside your immediate team to put themselves in the mindset of a competitor, and game out how they may react to a given strategy.
The goal of the exercise is to make your team’s strategy more resilient when it meets the market by having it questioned and countered with fresh eyes.
