E-mail Address: An electronic address unique for each e-mail user, required to send and receive e-mails.
Username: The portion of an e-mail address before the at (@) symbol, unique to every individual.
Domain Name: The portion of an e-mail address after the at (@) symbol, common to all individuals using a particular server or network.
Inbox: The folder where all e-mails that you have received from others are stored.
Sent: The folder where all e-mails that you send to others are stored.
Outbox: The folder where all outgoing e-mails are temporarily stored before they are sent.
Spam (Junk Mail): The folder where all unwanted incoming e-mails are stored.
Trash: The folder where all deleted e-mails are usually stored for a defined time period before permanent deletion.
To field: The field in a new e-mail where the primary recipient’s e-mail address is typed.
Cc (Carbon Copy): A field used to inform additional e-mail addresses that an e-mail has been sent to the person marked in the To field.
Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy): A field used when you want to send an e-mail to additional addresses without the other recipients seeing to whom it has been sent.
Subject: The field where a one-line introduction about the purpose of the e-mail is mentioned.
Logging In (Login / Sign In): The process of accessing your e-mail account by providing the username and password.
Logout (Sign Out): The process of closing your e-mail account after checking e-mails to ensure security.
Emoticons (Emotion Icons): Symbols that represent your facial expressions, helping convey mood and save typing time.
Acronym: A word formed from the initial letters of a multi-word name.
