Printing Your Order Cards

We built this tool in Coda because it is incredibly flexible and allows us to be responsive to your needs with tons and tons of amazing features. Printing is not one of those amazing features and is quite clunky. Here’s a step-by-step guide to printing your order cards in various sizes from Coda. If you’re having trouble or would just like extra assistance, please don’t hesitate to email/call/text for help!

First Steps to Printing your Order Cards Regardless of Size

Make sure the “Order Card Size” field is set to the correct size for the paper/index card you plan to print your order card onto.

Print button next to the name of the order card you would like to print

In the detail view that pops up on the right-hand side of the screen, press the three-dot ellipsis in the upper-right-hand corer of the screen.

Under “Print & PDF” select “Print”

Your browser’s print dialogue should open. From there, you’ll find different steps listed out below

Size-Specific Instructions

US Letter Size - 8.5” x 11”

Once your browser’s print dialogue opens, you should be able to print to standard letter paper easily and without any further configuration. Sometimes Coda will generate a second, blank page. If that happens, change your print settings so that you’re only printing the first page.

Large Index Card - 4” x 6”

This is one of the smallest sizes supported by most standard printers, and adds a lot of flexibility your implementation of order cards, though it’s a relatively uncommon index card size.

Standard Index Card - 3” x 5”

This is typically the smallest size that is natively supported by most printers and is the most common index card size. Typically you’ll print a lot of your order cards on standard 3” x 5” index cards.

Standard Index Card - 3” x 5” using 4” x 6” Settings (Mac)

If you have a printer that doesn’t support 3” x 5” printing but would prefer to use 3” x 5” index cards because they’re common and compact, we’ve developed a way to support you.
