If you typed the correct answer the first time, the quiz will automatically advance to the next question. This helps speed through questions you know.
Ensuring success
If you submit an incorrect answer, a new letter will be displayed for each word in the hints. Eventually all the correct letters will be displayed for you to copy.
If you require multiple attempts to get the correct answer, the question will be repeated a few questions later. The quiz will not advance to the next question until you tell it to. This gives you time to study the correct answer.
Adjusting the difficulty
This is the hardest type of quiz because you must recall the answer versus recognizing it. You also must match the spelling, capitalization, and punctuation exactly.
To make this quiz easier, start the quiz with more hint characters. To make this quiz harder, start the quiz with fewer hint characters. If this quiz is too hard even with multiple hint characters, study the material in a multiple choice quiz first.
How my quiz is unique
There are very few cloze quiz engines. I am not aware of any that provide automatic grading and progressive hints.
Study hints
Pay attention to spelling and capitalization as you type.
If you are stuck on a word in the middle of cloze but know later words, type a placeholder for the word you do not know and continue to the part you do know. Then go back and correct the placeholder.
Writing questions
Each question should have only one cloze section.

Avoid leading, trailing, or multiple spaces in a row in a cloze. Do not use tabs or line breaks inside a cloze.
Cloze passages can be as short as a single word, but should be no longer than a single line.
I do not recommend using a cloze quiz to memorize long passages of text. Use the
