Pinning in Lucid will force download an asset or folder of assets. This is to be used when you are experiencing slow down due to a slow internet connection. Connections less than 500Mb may experience issues resolved by pinning.
Pinning is easy! Right click the asset or folder → Pin
The assets will automatically start downloading. When they are done downloading you’ll see a pin on the asset.
Advanced options
Open your control panel in Lucid using the menu applet
Under settings you’ll find Local cache size and Local cache location
By default the cache size is 100Gb and the local is your local OS disk. You can change these values as needed if you need to cache or pin more content. You can use an external SSD or NVMe disk for the cache but note you will need to have it connected at all times while using Lucid Link. You cannot switch at will between your local disk and external. All cache data will be re-downloaded.
Do not use a HDD or HDD RAID as the cache. Lucid Link has issues with spinning disks as cache
