"B" walk
Time: 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
Venue: Ballycuggaran Forest Park
Organiser: James Cunningham
⛰️Moylussa, the highest point in County Clare, and Ballycuggaran Forest offer a challenging yet rewarding hike. The trailhead/start point is located at the Ballycuggaran Forest car park⛰️
🌲The hike begins with a moderate ascent through the forest, gradually gaining elevation. As you climb, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of Lough Derg and the surrounding countryside. The trail can be muddy in some sections, especially after rainfall, so sturdy footwear is recommended🌲
🏞The final stretch to the summit of Moylussa is the most challenging, however, the breathtaking panoramic views from the top makes the effort worthwhile. You can see for miles, taking in the beauty of Lough Derg, the Slieve Bernagh mountain range, and the rolling hills of East Clare🏞
☕️After enjoying the summit views, coffee afterwards down at West Lake Coffee, to unwind with lake views☕️

🌚The Full Beaver Moon hike to Lough Curra in the Galtee Mountains is a magical experience. From experience the moon casts an ethereal glow on the landscape, illuminating the path and reflecting off the still waters of the lake. The air is crisp and the silence is broken only by the crunch of footsteps on the trail, the bark of a fox and the distant hoot of an owl.🌚
🦉The hike itself is moderately challenging, with some steep sections and rocky terrain. However, the reward is well worth the effort. As you reach the shores of Lough Curra, you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the moonlit lake. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
