Goal
My goal for this project was to predict the drug and alcohol treatment score* of an area by looking at the gun violence within that area.
* This treatment score will be discussed soon.

Gun Violence Data
Comprehensive record of over 260k US gun violence incidents from 2013-2018.

Treatment Episode Data Set - Discharges (TEDS-D), 2013-2017
The TEDS system is comprised of two major components, the Admissions Data Set and the Discharges Data Set. TEDS-D (consisting of discharge records), includes the same variables as the admissions (TEDS-A) component, with the addition of:
type of service at discharge; reason for discharge or discontinuation of service. Taken from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Core-Based Statistical Area Code List
A comprehensive list of cities and counties, and their respective CBSA code. In the TEDS-D dataset, the most granular geographical information is in the form of these codes.
