Great for reverse-image searches if you find a logo but can’t find a website because the logo is too cryptic
Also useful for searching for bills and receipts from restaurants.
I’ve added call-outs (like this one) for where I’ve found Pro vs Reasoning vs Deep Research type-searches to be the most useful.

Output in table format with the following columns: Name, Type (fine-dining, lounge, bar, casual, etc), website, City, Status (Opened, Upcoming), Launch Date, # of Locations (specific number).

Scrape Restaurant List from Website
Only needed if the previous prompt is not working satisfactorily
It happens rarely, but I saw one case where perplexity struggled to pull the restaurants from a link. If this happens, follow this process
Steps:
On the website, hit Ctrl + S to save the page
For “file-type” say HTML only
Share the chat into a new chatGPT page and ask it to extract just the names of the restaurants and any additional information available on the page (say, website urls)
Ask chatgpt to output in table format or csv based on what you’re looking for.
Enrich an existing Restaurant List
Goal: Get comprehensive data on a known-list of restaurants
Uses:
Here's a list of restaurants: owned by Sarood Hospitality.
Give me (in table format) the following: Name, Type (casual, fine-dining), website, City, Status (opened, coming soon, etc), launch (MM/YY), # of Locations (Number)
Specific Count of Number of Outlets
Goal: Confirm the exact number of outlets per Concept
Prompt:
Find the number of outlets operating in Dubai or the UAE owned by Sarood Hospitality
Research Tech Stack
Technology Infrastructure
Goal: Get some initial details on their tech stack
Prompt:
Restaurant list is optional
In that case, the prompt mentions the group website so that the search agent has enough to correctly identify the group.
How does Sarood Hospitality get it's IT and Technology needs met? Particularly around the POS systems in their restaurants?
Just so there's no confusion, the website of the group I'm referring to is:
Search for job listings at the Parent Company
Goal: Search for mentions of POS systems or tech requirements in job-postings.
Prompt:
Please find job listings for Sarood Hospitality. Output a table with the following: name, url of job listing, date-posted, software tools mentioned. Pay special attention to hospitality or restaurant specific tools
Search for receipts posted online
Goal:
Receipts often have strong clues about the POS used
If the POS is directly mentioned, that’s the answer
If it’s not, then each image, open ChatGPT
Based on your understanding of POS Systems and restaurant-domain software, please look at this bill for a restaurant named owned by Sarood Hospitality. Please give me your best estimate of the POS system the restaurant is using, as well as your justification for the same.
Search for current or former Employees of the Restaurants
Open Linkedin Sales Navigator
Look through the People results, click through and look at the descriptions of their job-experience
search for mention of specific tools they’ve used
Go to their “Skills” section, and look there as well
Typically you see Micros mentioned, check who’s endorsed it
If the endorsement comes from an employee also working at the target Restaurant, that’s a strong signal that that’s the POS they’re using.
