Standard Operating Procedure for Tormach 24R CNC Router
Turn on the power to the Tormach 24R CNC router, including the water chiller.
typically, the machine will already be on
wait for the integrated computer to boot
Load the CAM file containing the design to be cut into the router via a USB drive.
Secure the material to be cut onto the router bed using the vacuum table, clamps or other appropriate methods.
always work with a staff member when not utilizing the vacuum table to hold down stock.
Set the tool height using the Z-probe.
Set the origin of the cutting tool using the X,Y, and Z axes.
Begin the cutting process by pressing the "Start" button.
Monitor the cutting process to ensure that it is progressing as expected and make any necessary adjustments.
When the cutting process is complete, clean up the work area. There is no need to turn off the router.
Note: It is important to follow all safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer and to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection and hearing protection, when operating the Tormach 24R CNC router.
