First time guest booking inquiry

Sounds good and thank you so much for your interest! We hope you’ll understand that we’re hesitant with any inexperienced guest, as they may not understand the B&B experience yet and we want to set expectations so that they have the best experience. It’s quite different than a hotel; there are house rules, strict quiet and cleanup expectations, etc. At the same time, it’s expected that guests understand that not everything will be provided and, in our case, staying in a rustic mountain situation requires some flexibility and understanding. Let us know if that works for you and we’d be glad to grant your request (if not, of course we understand). Also note that your bio says you have no bookings yet and right now your booking request is for one guest. M&J

Discount request

Hi NAME and thanks for you interest! We would love to host you, but unfortunately we don't discount our rates. As superhosts, we've invested considerably in creating an unusually satisfying experience for our guests. And we do have significant cleaning, etc. expenses for each stay. So far the consensus is our place is a great deal for guests at the going rate. Matt & Jenny

Should I get chains?

Hallo [NAME]! Thanks for writing. Your diligence will certainly pay off up here in the mountains where weather is a little unpredictable. Locals say it’s always best to be prepared with chains when headed to snow country. That said, snow is less and less likely the closer we get to April and you are right at the edge. Hard to predict for sure! What we do know is that Highway 4 is only a mile from the house and it is always plowed but as for our neighborhood, plowing is less predictable. If we do get a late snow, you will need chains to get up to the cabin. Otherwise, it should be a pretty easy drive.

What lakes are near by?

Hallo [NAME]! Thanks for writing. Summer is an awesome time to visit Arnold! The local favorite lake is White Pines. It’s about 3 miles from our cabin and has a nice beach area and picnic spots. And, best of all, access is free! We have a couple of standup paddle boards that you are welcome to use. Also, there are a couple of rental companies in the area that we can point you to with lots of outdoor equipment.

There are lots of summer activities around that time; outdoor concerts, hiking, fireworks shows, etc. Not sure what you are looking for but one thing to note is that weekdays are usually a little less “bustling” around the lakes. Let us know if you have any other questions or can help you plan out your trip to the mountains.
