Weekly writing:
This week, the Selig simulator was downloaded to each person’s personal computer. I must admit, I had much of the work for this lab done before the period even began, and I had quite an easy time finalizing the process. The simulator was then tested, and I had good fun toying with my struggling lab mates with my sound on full blast, buzzing by and causing noise. In all seriousness, this simulator will be a tremendous help in learning to understand the orientation of fixed wing UAS platforms from a pilot’s perspective.

Overview

Recall from

lecture on the importance of flight simulation. Even if the Believers were ready for flight, the weather is far from ideal for flight training. In this lab, you will download and install a free fixed-wing flight simulator. Throughout the semester, you will complete six assignments using this simulator.
