Solve Animation teleport back problem



Drag blended animations on timeline sequencer,

On 2nd anim, R click on it → Match with this bone in previous clip

Set Hips

To handle run/walk animation that are not running on same spot (i.e. keep looping running from 1 side to other side)


Open the animation, Tick Enable Root motion (to lock the animation entirely on the hip)

Change Root Motion root lock from ref pose to anim first frame

Also Force root lock is tick

To make the running foot not sliding on the floor


Set the location keyframes, duplicate X one (coz it’s running on x axis) a few frames earlier, make those keyframes linear

Select those 2 x axis keyframes, open sequencer curve

Select the earlier/1st keyframe, click on doublr arrow at R side, select pre infinity, change to linear

Now the curve between 2 keyframes get extended to infinity before the 1s keyframe

Tips to move keyframe In seqeuncer timeline

Hit Ctrl+Left/Right arrow key to move frame by frame


If now the running still doens’t look smooth/natural, try to move the earlier keyframe closer or further from the later/2nd keyframe
character moves slower if the keyframes gap is further, vice versa
