Add UE vehicle template to the project
Activate follow plugins:
Drag the car BP in the scene
Open the Car BP
Add box collision component, name as Radius
Increase the box extent to cover the car mesh (mainly need extra space at the sides doors of the car)
Radius component colliosn set as OverlapDynamic
Set player get in car:
Open 3rd person BP:
Class filter choose car BP
Now the car can be controlled once triggered, but the player is still in scene.
To let the player get into car:
Set player get out of car:
Back to Car BP:
To set player places next to the car after get out:
In car BP Viewport:
Add Arrow, called Player Out Post
Child the skeletal mesh under the arrow, place the mesh next to the car
Invisible the skeletal mesh
