Fields

Controlling Cloth Simulations by field

Create 2 cubes, 1st name as cloth, 2nd name as collider → 1st cloth cube with segment 20cm at xyz
Add displacer child under collider layer, add Color in shade tab
Select collidor layer, R click → Current state to Object (new layer formed) → delete the old collider and displacer layer → add Cloth collider tag
Make cloth cube editable → Add Cloth simulation tag →
size: 145, stiffness: 90, flexion 7, rubber 18
Add subdivision layer parent over cloth cube → put cloth collider as a top layer

Use Field to control:
Select cloth cube layer → add Cloth belt simulation tag → drag the collider layer in the belt box → hide the collider layer
Select point mode, select all points of cube in the scene, click Set in Cloth belt menu (all points will turn to yellow)
→ untick Draw → when hit play and change influence % in cloth belt now, will see the simulation
In Character top menu → Paint Tool (or type it), select the cloth cube and click the paint tool in the scene →
vertex map tag is created → click on it, tick use field → delete freeze layer, add linear field
Drag the vertex map layer in the box next to Influence in cloth belt tag, set the influence back to 100 (now the field moves will affect the belt, no longer just determined by the value of influence)
Drag the field layer out of the cube and put on top
Add Jiggle and Smoothing deformer child under cloth cube →
stiffness of smoothing 95
Jiggle of Stiffness, structural, Drag: 40, 100, 20
(jiggle on top of smoothing)
Set keyframe for field movement to achieve the mograph
