Composite Normal footage or want to blend the footage in scene:

Import the wanted BG/blend video (e.g. fog, smoke) in Content Broswer
R click → Create Media Player, tick Video output media texture asset ( a media texture called mediaplayer_video will also be created)
→ Open Mediaplayer, click the imported video file → Save (a video material will be created)
Create a Plane in the scene, adjust its scale xyz as 16,9,1 (to match aspect ratio of the footage)
→ Drag the Video texture on the plane in scene:
→ Open the video material graph, change blend mode to Translucent, tick two Sided
→ unlink the base color from RGB (hotkey, Alt + L click)
Make a graph as follow:
image.png
Remark:
-Hold S+ L click to create 2 Parameter nodes, rename as Strength and Opacity
-Set default value of opacity as 0.01, strength as 70 (coz the demo example use the footage as a fog, which blend the Bg together, for normal case, opacity as 1, strength as 0.28, and multiply connect to Base color, not Emissive color)
→ Save
Go to Sequencer → +Track → Media Track → +Media → choose the footage
→ R click on the new media track → Edit Session → Choose the footage at Media Texture
image.png
If the plane create shadow on the floor in the scene, select the plane → Detail → Lighting → Untick Cast Shadow

If just need a 2d video input to UE:

after import image sequence and create media player, its material and relevant blueprint graph:
In Sequencer, +Track → Media Track → +Media, select the Image sequence source
R click on the imported sequence source on timeline - >properities → media texture: select NewMedi video (Texture)
image.png
To brighten the imported video, open the Video Material, connect to Emissive color (if doesn’t work, use the blueprint graph above)
