3d footage composite (cloth store)

In AE,


comp the footage, trim the clip, set as 23.97fps,. place 3D camera tracker
pick 3 check points manually (hold shift when choosing) in appropriate timeline, if can’t find a disc in a good location → R click, create solid on camera
On track solid layer, position and rotate the plane in scene that match more the surface level

File → Export → Maxon cinema4d exporter

In C4D,


open the exported file
Background:
new material as Bg, tick lumiance only, texture tag choose the video
→ In animation tab, change frame rate to fit the C4d project (here is 30fps)
→ VIewport/Editor tab, tick Animate preview
Create a background object, drag the material on it.

3D character:
Merge project → choose the fbx mannuqin file, click no to box of reassign includes takes
→ create null and rename as character
→ drag the character layer under the track solid plane
→ select the character → Tools (top bar) → Reset Transform (Reset PSR in R21 ver)
→scale and rotate the character

Add material and light on character:
Create new material drag on the mannequin, use dropper tool in color tag to choose the color
→ Reflectance: Width reduce to 32%
Create a light → drag it under track solid plane again → reset transform → position the light higher
In light menu, Shadow → from None to Shadow Maps (Soft) → Denisty: 80% →
Change to top view → set light rotation as 0,0,0 in Coord menu, further adjust the light position
→ Duplicate 1 more light place behind the character →Shadow: None; General →Intensity: 60%

Create a Sky → Render tag → Compositing → untick seen by camera
Go back to AE, turn off visible Track solid layer, choose on timeline the footage looks bright enough (here is on
18F) → Composition → Save Frame a: tiff file, name a video frame
Back to C4d, create new material, call as video frame → only tick Lumiance → drag the material to sky layer (this sky effect with reference tiff only be seen when turn on Global illumination)

Create Shadow Catcher:
In search bar, type Create Shadow Catcher (in R21, should find in Create button in Material column) →
Material editor: Shadow Strength : 60%, pull the plane a bit behind the character, as the shadow mainly behind him
drag it in Track solid material layer, replace the color (pink) material
Turn off the background layer, render the character, tick Alpha channel

Polishing in AE:
Import the sequence back in AE
(Can place the footage first before finish whole image sequence rendering, if wanna amend thing and put back, R click on the object in AE layer, reload footage
Add Gaussian blur effect on character, blurness 1.8 →
Add Grain, view modeL Final output, tweaking intensity 0.5
