At iwoca, we want to support your learning and development goals. If you are learning skills that are important to you and which are relevant to our business, then you'll be able to contribute even more to iwoca and hopefully you’ll also feel more motivated to achieve amazing things!
We want you to have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills while doing your role, and be constantly challenging yourself to be learning everyday. But sometimes you might need some additional training that can’t come from your peers or your manager.
Each team has an L&D budget that can be spent on either individual or team training events or initiatives. We also provide team captain and manager training resources too. You can request part of that budget at any time.

Using your Books Budget

You’ll have £50 per year to spend on professional development books.
Buy them yourself, expense them, read them, write a review and either keep it or donate it to the bookshelf.
Some of our recommended reading? Thinking fast and slow; Thanks for the Feedback; Radical Candour; Bounce; Mindset; Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgment; Start with Why:

Learning to code

We give everyone at iwoca the opportunity to have access to our Pluralsight & Treehouse platforms.
They are platforms which have several tech educational courses which you can complete in your own time and at your own pace.
You can monitor your progress and build your personal track record as you go along.
You can develop your skills needed to tackle future projects.
All of the training is interactive, expert-created content with guided curriculum’s.
There is a wide variety of content on both platforms, including Python, Java, Ruby, and lots more!
