Work-life balance is incredibly important at iwoca and we understand you have commitments outside of work, we therefore offer flexible working so you can make better use of your free time. Whether you’re looking after elderly relatives or children, exercising, have appointments or anything else, we’re here to support it.
Working hours & location:
Most teams operate a 40-hour working week. Our general office hours are 9 am to 6 pm. Each Team Captain will communicate to their team what the expectations are for office and remote working. As long as it works for the business, we empower you to work where you are most productive and comfortable.
Tech, Analytics and Product (TAP) - Flexibility and Remote Working within the UK
If you're joining one of our TAP teams, you may want clarity about your teams flexibility with remote working.
We can support fully remote working within the UK and Germany for tech, analytics, product and design (TAP) staff. We do invite new TAP hires to join ~20 site days in their first year; site days are inclusive of time in the London office, company events and company working retreats. Feel free to ask your talent partner and hiring manager about your specific team.
Most TAP teams work core hours from 10 am to 4 pm. We do accommodate early risers who prefer to start at 7 am and finish at 3 pm, and lunchtime gym-goers who prefer to take a longer lunch break and make up the time another way. We ask you to keep your calendar updated for visibility.
There's a lot of trust for you to choose where and when you do your deep focus work best, and transparent communication between the team members and team captains is fundamental for it to work.
Remote Working Abroad
We can support iwocans to work remotely abroad for up to 8 weeks per financial year (30 consecutive days max), providing there are no tax jurisdiction issues, no working hours/timezone issues, and providing your manager has accepted your request.
