My name is Hongsik Kim, a senior at Purdue University, double majoring in Professional Flight and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), with an expected graduation in 2027. My dream of becoming a pilot was sparked by a profound experience during high school and solidified through military service, academic challenges, and professional aviation training.
From watching “Sully: Miracle on the Hudson” and admiring Captain Sullenberger's calm professionalism, to assisting U.S. military pilots during joint operations, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming a skilled, responsible, and globally competent aviator. As a licensed pilot with military aviation control experience and strong academic performance in a leading aviation program, I am prepared to take the next step toward a professional pilot career.
