seoClarity GBP Integration

Internal Documentation

Google Business Profile (GBP) Performance Reporting provides brands insights into local search performance, customer interactions with listings, and the keywords Google uses to trigger local search and map exposure. An integration with LocalClarity helps brands access these critical data sets.
Some of the most important GBP metrics for large brands include:
Profile Views: Tracking how many people view the brand's GBP through Google Search and Maps, and on what devices, allows the brand to optimize content and user experience
.
Website Click: Monitoring how many people click through from the GBP to the brand's website shows how effectively the GBP is driving website traffic and potential conversions.
Driving Directions: The Directions performance metric shows how many users used your Google Business Profile to get directions to your physical business location. This metric is valuable because it indicates customer interest and intent to visit your physical location.
Phone Calls: The Calls metric tracks the number of clicks on the phone number in your Google Business Profile, specifically from the "click-to-call" feature on mobile devices. For large brands, this can be very valuable data to understand customer engagement and conversion rates from online to offline interactions.
Reviews and Ratings: Analyzing the brand's average rating and number of reviews provides valuable social proof and reputation insights that impact local search ranking and customer trust.
Local Keywords: The Local Keywords data is specific to your business's geographic location, allowing you to tailor your keyword strategy to the most relevant local search terms. As the only source of true Google-soured keyword volume data, this data can be an especially important part of an exploration of ranking opportunities.

Integration Steps

To populate the data in seoClarity, the first step is to connect the relevant Google Business Profile APIs via the LocalClarity platform.

Initial Set-Up

The LocalClarity team creates a new Workspace and Profile in the LocalClarity platform and then invites the users to the platform to establish the authorized connection to Google.

Client Steps

The invited client user must then account to the profile. This is the only step that requires direct client engagement.
The client Admin should have access to the Google account as it will affect the data flow. So it's recommended that the authorized user should have permanent access to the GBP account.

LocalClarity & TSS Steps

Share profile name and UserID of the user who connected their GBP to LocalClarity with the LocalClarity dev team,
The user should have full Admin access to the profile.
If the user gets removed from the profile, the API access token also will get removed. It requires a new token for the newly added user in case of user switching.
With the details provided the dev team will set up a user access token for API access
Share the below details with the seoClarity team for the data connection
Profile ID
You can find the profile ID by searching in the Directory of LocalClarity, under the Admin Workspace or Users tab. Search by either the workspace name or the username used to create the profile. The goal is to reach the profile card. Once there, you can select the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the profile card, click ‘Profile details’.

User Token
Share Profile Name and user email address with the LocalClarity dev team,
The user should have full Admin access to the profile.
If the user gets removed from the profile, the API access also will get removed. It requires a new token for the newly added user in case of user switching.
User Email
Access the users profile and navigate to the Settings tab. You are looking for the user email address that created the authorized connection. You can find who made the authorized GBP account

Confirmation

Draft- Once these details are provided to the seoClarity TSS team from the LocalClarity Dev Dev Team, the GBP connection between platforms can be established. You can find this data populating in the seoClarity platform under the Google Business Profile main navigation item. Data will be visible within minutes of connecting.
Once the connection is established, the dev team for seoClarity looks through the metrics to see if it is displayable in the active domain. They would then set a test file that would have the required data to validate and confirm if anything is missing. TSS needs to double check with the PoC ( Point of Contact) for the client to confirm the daily data schedule for the Client.
