Notes

Created a new Facebook Marketplace listing and also posted the listing to numerous Facebook communities across different cities and geographic areas. That is to say, Facebook community pages. Made a small change to the main photo of the listing, being that I used Gemini photo generation to add a woman filling a bottle full of a pink liquid from the machine. Very basic photo; doesn't look like AI, is very standard but this was able to increase the amount of leads that we were able to receive. Previous listing generated 1,500 impressions (clicks onto the listing), and this most recent listing generated 4,000 clicks in the first 8 hours.
After this 8-hour period the initial listing was taken down due to a policy violation of promoting services. This was due to language in the listing relating to a pilot program and a few other key things. I edited the listing and filed for an appeal, won the appeal, and it was re-listed but the reach was throttled after that. Tried to re-post a couple of days later and only received another 1,000 clicks so I've held off on this for now, letting it just kind of breathe. Posting some personal stuff to my Facebook Marketplace that I'm just trying to sell on my own. Personal random items at home, that is. Goal being to avoid triggering any kind of spam filtering on Facebook as this has been a very strong lead magnet for us. The dashboard has been updated with all relevant contact. We now have 22 active form leads, a 6.25% response rate. Out of 352 leads, we have 69.6 of those leads contacted. We've generated 77 new leads in the last seven days and contacted 76 out of those 77 leads, one of those leads being disqualified
As the above metrics show we did a very large push towards collecting new leads and lead outreach this week. Most of this effort was essentially a manual effort of:
researching things like high-end day spas in different geographic areas
clicking through every single business that popped up on Google Maps
filtering them for relevance
looking through the website
qualifying or disqualifying them based on how professional the business looked and reviews on Yelp and things like this
using things like Google traffic to determine how busy they are and the amount of people that usually would be present at the location at any given time
We did the same for gyms and a few other spaces We had a new warm lead with Think Space Co-working Spaces. This is someone that we reached out to in this effort through a support portal and they've replied expressing interest but have not followed up with Joel and me - we will be proceeding to follow up with this lead again in due time.
In the weeks of 315, 322, and 329, being the last three weeks, we have consistently increased the amount of outreach going out as well as the amount of new leads coming in.
51 outreach completed in the week of 315
63 in the week of 322
66 in the week of 329
These efforts have been primarily dominated by contact us forms and support emails
People were getting confused about if the dispenser is free or not after the 90 days. I essentially had to explain that after the 90 days we would not continue stocking the dispenser. We would at that point, because they no longer want to stock or use the dispenser, take the dispenser back so it is free if you wish to continue buying the syrups for it. Basically there's no upfront charge for the dispenser and to have the dispenser installed, removed, etc. This detail was getting lost when we had to rewrite the description to avoid any kind of policy violation
Multiple people who responded to the listing on Facebook after responding realized that it was more for businesses or locations like offices but then stated that they would have really loved to have this in their house or something like that. This was feedback that I heard about three or four times and made me consider how the tabletop version of a Superfusions machine would fill a gap in the market where some people don't like SodaStream because it, in a sense, forces them to now buy CO2 cartridges and all sorts of other things like the flavorings and all that. They still have kind of a lot of sugar. Well with something like Mio, they're plastic bottles, which people are rapidly trying to decrease the amount of plastic in their lifestyle and that they put into the environment. Not only that but again a lot higher in sugar than Superfusions.
