Plan: List all the tasks for your project, including planned dates and owners for each task.
List dependencies: For each task, ask yourself, “What task needs to be completed before I can begin working on this task?” Input that task into the dependency column.
Work on the project: As you complete tasks and check them off, two things will happen:
Notifications. Owners of downstream tasks will be notified that they can start working on their tasks. The notification is controlled by an

in this doc - feel free to turn it off at any time.
Dependency shifts. As you fall behind or ahead of schedule, the timeline will automatically shift the downstream tasks to match the change in schedule. For example, if you finish

task three days behind schedule, all the downstream tasks will get pushed forward by 3 days to accommodate the delay. You can control the dependency settings in the timeline options.
