Applications for software engineering roles generally require just a few things:
Resume
Cover Letter (rarely required)
Transcript (rarely required or asked for)
Short essay questions (rarely required or asked for)
Your resume is your main selling point, but there are a few other things you can do to make your application stand out.

The Job Search

If you are applying for your first technical job, you should cast a wide net and apply to as many opportunities as possible that interest you.
It is important to be aware of hiring timelines. It’s always a good idea to apply when applications first come out since you have a better chance of being noticed by recruiters. Big tech companies tend to recruit during the fall for the upcoming summer, while small companies and startups recruit year-round.
Look at and see if any company you are interested in have started recruiting. Also, is a way for you to see how much your expected internship rates are.
