Week 10: Story, Guiding

How can we create an environment/scene that is not only pretty but also tells a story? Ask yourself these questions: STORY
What is the backstory? A village built on the cliffside, living of the trading routes (passing ships). → How can we present this in our environment?
Who lives there? Very poor/wealthy people, a hideout full of criminals, etc..
What happened there? A monster went through the city, a party just ended, in the process of building new parts of the city, etc..
Current state? Dangerous, joyful, etc..
People have needs. Where do they eat?

Avoid giving your player FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out Make sure that you guide your player from the first step to the last step. For ex. Putting an area where there’s possible loot past an elevator which takes you to a new environment. ==> Not good
