Discount code nuances
3 discount codes: BLKFRIDAY, ,
STAYSHARP and NOSICKDAYS can NOT be used by new customers. They can both be applied together since they only apply to specific products, so there’s no risk of stacking
BLKFRIDAY can only be used by new customers, not by existing customers. To prevent existing customers from being able to apply BLKFRIDAY we've configured that discount code to only be usable for customers with 0 existing orders. This means that customers who cancelled a prior subscription, and customers who purchased only purchased a TallyAge test in the past won't be able to use BLKFRIDAY
Suggested CS intervention: Product gives CS equivalent discount code without the 0 orders constraint
BLKFRIDAY won’t stack with STAYSHARP and NOSICKDAYS which is a discount code setting the discount code with greater value will be applied to the customer’s next order — see in Slack
(Use case won’t existing for Black Friday) When existing customers apply both The results of the example above apply to both new customers and existing customers who apply these discount codes. For the existing customer use case, discounts are applied by Seal not Shopify. Seal has a convoluted way of applying discount codes which results in customers getting a discount that's ~1% different than the discount code. Ex 49% off instead of 50% off. CS intervention?
Product and order discounts won’t stack on top of Subscription discounts via Shopify checkout and Manage my plan. They will stack on top when applied via the Account page due to slow loading time.
