Day 34: Devotional- "The Most Sacred Place on Earth"

"The Most Sacred Place on Earth

February 3rd 2024
Luke 10:38-41
Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.
But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.”
But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
but one thing is necessary.
Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
1 Chronicles 29:1-5
Offerings for The Temple
Then King David said to the entire assembly, “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the work is great; for the temple is not for mankind, but for the LORD God.
Now with all my ability I have provided for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones and alabaster in abundance.
In addition, in my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already provided for the holy temple,
namely, three thousand talents of gold, from the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings;
gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver, that is, for all the work done by the craftsmen. Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to Yahweh?”
John 2:18-22
So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?”
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,
and will you raise it up in three days?”
But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken
Ephesians 2:22-23
And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Ezekiel 43:6-7
While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple,
and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoring and by the dead bodies of their kings at their high places,

I heard the Lord say, "It is time to come and sit at my feet. Become the alabaster flask.""

Friends, today you will travel to and fro from place to place. You will busy yourselves with activities of many kinds. But the Lord is reaching through all the noise and inviting you to the most sacred "place" on earth.
And that is "At His Feet."
The story of Mary and Martha is prophetic for the hour you and I are living in today. There will be a Martha company who will busy themselves with religious rituals and duties. Then there will come a Mary company who simply come and sit at the feet of Messiah.
Everything in this life both secular and religious will war to keep you from this holy place that Mary found. Do not let the enemy keep you from coming to His feet. For His feet are a most holy place for His feet represent the place of "hearing."
To come to the feet of Messiah is to come to Him alone in humility and surrender.
The place of his feet is not a specific location, it’s a divine heart posture. Once you find this place, you will never want to leave.
When Mary found this place, she knew she had found everything she had ever looked for in earthly things. Her choice to pour out the alabaster flask upon Jesus was deeply prophetic in nature.
In 1 Chronicles 29:1-5, David is making preparations to build the "temple" in Jerusalem. He is informing the people of Israel all that He himself has offered to the temple and asking them to contribute to the temple as well. David brought not only gold, silver, and precious stones, but he brought something else as well….
He brought "alabaster."
When Mary came to Yeshua, she too brought alabaster. Why?
Because like David, she was bringing her offerings to the "Temple."
Friends, Yeshua is the living, breathing, walking temple of God. And as we follow Him, by sitting at His feet, we too will become the temples of God.
Mary brought her offering to the temple of God, and thus became a temple herself.
Beloved, the Father is asking you this today, "What offering is he is asking you to bring to the "temple?" What is He asking you to lay at His feet?
Is it your anxiety and fear? Is it monetary? Is it a relationship or a situation you have been unable to resolve?
God wants you at His feet. He wants you to become the alabaster flask and pour everything you are our on the feet of Messiah.
When the Mary company comes together and journeys to the feet of Messiah, and we corporately bring our offerings, and listen to His teachings, then we will become the "temple not made with human hands."
And just as it was in the days of David and Solomon, the glory of the Lord will fill "the temple."
The Father says this to you today, "My child, come and sit at my feet and you will find rest for your soul. Bring your offering and lay it upon my feet, and you will feel a weight removed from off your shoulders. Pour your heart out as the alabaster flask and you will hear my voice and find that at this is truly the most sacred place on earth, the place of my feet.
And here in my Presence, you will find everything you need.

prayer

Our Prayer

Father, we praise you for your wisdom and revelation. We thank you for revealing to us this sacred destination, the place of your feet. Posture our hearts to come and sit here from this moment on and into forever. We never want to leave this holy place. Speak to us, give us your heart. Fill our temples with your glory. May we bring offerings to you that are fit for a King. As we seek to live in your Presence, help us lead others to your feet. And may we all find that this world has nothing that we long for. And that to be with you is all our hearts desire. We love you and thank you, and prophetically we pour out our alabaster on your feet now. For the glory of your Son Yeshua. Amen.

A Word from Our Father

My child, I see your holy devotion. My heart is overjoyed as I watch you seek me with all you heart. But like Martha, you have become troubled by many things. You are concerning yourselves with things that I do not desire. You must choose the "good portion. Which Mary chose. Come and sit at my feet. All I desire is to spend time with you and you with me. As the world grows more chaotic, it will be a people who sit at my feet who will reveal my true nature to the world. They will see you and learn that my burden is easy and my yoke is light. Bring to me your offerings, and start with your pain and hurt. Pour it out like alabaster and you will find that I have truly come to "heal the brokenhearted. You are more to me than precious stones. You are my alabaster. I have spoken.
