Day 33: Devotional- "Receiving New Weaponry"

"Receiving New Weaponry

February 2nd 2024
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
Ephesians 6:11-13
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Psalm 18:34
He trains my hands for battle,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,
but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends..
1 Samuel 17:38-40
Then Saul clothed David with his armor. He put a helmet of bronze on his head and clothed him with a coat of mail,
and David strapped his sword over his armor. And he tried in vain to go, for he had not tested them. Then David said to Saul, “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” So David put them off.
Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch. His sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine

I heard Abba say, " You have been losing some battles because you are employing the wrong weaponry. I am sending new weapons . Learn to use them. And you will find then victory you desire."

Friends, there are areas of your life where you are losing the battle. You continue to do battle but you are not seeing the victory you desire. Every time you see some progress, a major setback occurs. You are weary from the battle and near to giving up.
The Lord says this, "Do not quit! I am sending new weaponry.
We are waging a spiritual battle. Therefore we must realize that earthly weaponry will not suffice. We cannot win this battle with old weaponry. We must take a new approach.
The Scripture says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.
Beloved, your battle is not in the natural but in the Spirit. You have employed weapons which have worked in the past, but now they are not wielding the same effect.
The reason is God is training you to take new territory. And this territory has different giants. And these giants possess different weapons. Therefore, you will need new weaponry.
The Father tells us that the "old wineskins" will not work in the new season. This applies to warfare as well. Remember, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal in nature but the mighty for the pulling down of strongholds.
God is saying this, Do battle in the Spirit.
For some of you, you have been battling with spiritual weapons but still the victory has not come.
For you the Lord is saying, "You have been wielding the sword of truth. But now I need you to use new weaponry. Today, I hand you the sword of love."
Friend, you have been speaking the truth into situations which is honorable in the sight of the Lord. But now the Lord is saying, "Just demonstrate divine love, and see how I break the yoke."
Some of you have been taking action to resolve an issue to no avail. Now the Lord says, "The only action you are to take is to enter your prayer closet and intercede for that person."
I have seen this play out in my own life. The more I have tried to win the battle, the further I have fallen into defeat. But friend, I have found the greatest weapons we possess are these; love, intercession, and surrender.
In the story of David and Goliath, David receives Sauls armor but leaves it behind before going to battle with the Philistine giant. He stated the reason was it was "untested." He wanted to use the weapons he had used in times past to win the battle. But I submit to you there was another thing happening here.
The Lord was in preparation to promote David. He was being raised up to become the very King of Israel. Saul's armor represented the old weaponry, that of the flesh. A common weaponry all kings would use in battle. But God was teaching David he had another weapon Saul knew nothing about.
And that weapon was His faith in the Name of the Lord.
David said, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. (1 Samuel 17:45)
Friend, David needed to experience the success of his spiritual weaponry, and so do you.
It is time to leave Sauls armor behind. Some of the weapons you have used in the past will not work in the new season. In other cases, God is simply saying, "I have trained you with this weapon, but now I need you to train with a new one so you will be complete and prepared for the battle to come."
Psalm 20:7 says,
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God.
They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.
Receive the "new weaponry" from the Father, and watch as your giants fall.

prayer

Our Prayer

Father, thank you for your Word this morning. And for sending the promise of the new weaponry. Give us the ability to discern the new weapons for the new season. Give us confidence, not in the weapon itself, but in you, its very Creator. When in the past we have defeated giants with the sword of truth, now its time to defeat them with radical love. Father, increase our confidence in your ability to win our battles. Help us to know when to wait and when to advance. Give us patience to allow you time to work. We lift up our greatest battles into your hands now, bring the victory in your perfect time. For the glory of your Son Yeshua. Amen.

A Word from Our Father

My child, I am offering you new weaponry this morning. You will accomplish more on your face before me interceding for your enemies than any attempts you can make in the natural. It is time to truly learn the Art of War. And for those who follow me, the first lesson in the art of war is to know where the battlefield is on which you are fighting. Your battlefield exists in the heavenlies not on the earth. Next you must learn to wield weapons which may seem ineffective or even foolish to those around you. Remember, my ways are not your ways. It is time to come to me, sit at my feet and receive new weaponry. Today I give you the sword of love, and with it you will cut off the head of your Goliath. Though the battle will be painful, and at times you will feel misunderstood and that the weapon is of little use. Ignore the doubt and continue to do battle and you will see victory. Your battle exists to glorify my Name and to make you into my image. Raise your arms friends, the battle is already won! I have spoken.

Devotional Song

Friends, let the Lord train your hands for battle this morning! And remember, as Jonathan and Melissa Helser wrote in their famous song, “Raise a Hallelujah”, one of our greatest weapons “is a melody.” Sing to the Father and watch your giants fall!
