Turkey is being severely affected by the climate crisis. People living in Turkey are aware of this: According to one survey, 85% of the population knows that natural disasters are on the rise. If governments keep on resisting to take action, we will face irreversible terrible scenarios. Our future will be inhabitable. From now on, the climate crisis should be treated like a real crisis.
As a member of the international community, I stand with the youth climate movement in Turkey in demanding you ratify the Paris Agreement. Stop making empty promises, both to your own citizens and to the world. We won’t stop protesting until you do.
