Argentina

Background info

Soy and livestock companies exporting to Europe and China are the main source of deforestation - in the past 30 years Argentina has lost 8 million hectacres of forest mostly to these industries - there is high correlation of companies breaking Forest Law to gain this land
Almost 40.000 indigenous people from different tribes in Argentina have been expelled from their own land due to deforestation. Many of them are facing different types of illnesses and live in extreme poverty
Organizations such as the Fundación Vida Silvestre and Greenpeace Argentina are working hard to try and maintain protected natural areas and petition for more to be done to save the forests
Deforestation can lead to greenhouse emissions which can also cause diseases such as malaria. If people die there would be a dip in the population
The geography of Argentina extends from north to south, encompassing 4,000 kilometres (2,500 mi). Its variety of climates, land quality, and reliable precipitation allow for the cultivation of different tree species at high growth rates
