Hi! We are the outreach team for Fridays for Future Digital, the internet arm of the school climate strike movement that Greta Thunberg, and with FFF Latinoamérica, we’re doing everything we can to get the Escazú Agreement that offers environmental transparency and protection for defenders, ratified! We’re currently doing a Defend the Defenders campaign that will be bringing international awareness to the Caribbean during the week of July, with a focus on Escazú. I hope we can work together for environmental protection and justice in the Caribbean region—we can help make and amplify campaigns digitally, and we can share ideas on how to get the Escazú Agreement ratified and what it would mean. Hope to hear back from you soon! Hello! I would like to help get the Escazú Agreement ratified–I’m part of the outreach team for Fridays for Future Digital, the internet arm of Greta Thunberg’s school strike movement, and along with FFF groups in Latin America we’re working on a campaign to get the agreement ratified in two countries before the deadline of September 26! Do you know the status—how close it is to ratifying—of the Agreement in the Caribbean countries (specifically Grenada, Jamaica, Haiti, and Saint Lucia) or anyone who knows more? We want to help in whatever way we can (we’re also campaigning for Perú, Colombia, Argentina, and Costa Rica)—hope you’re safe during this time and thanks so much! Hola!
Hello! We’re the partnerships team of Fridays for Future
Hello [name of group/person],
@fff.digital and @pollutersout are running an 8-week campaign to highlight indigenous peoples and other land defenders being suppressed, Defend the Defenders (you can find the information brief at bit.ly/defenddefendersbrief). We'd really like to get in touch with you all because we're trying our best to uplift indigenous people and other environmental defenders directly through the campaign through webinars, content, and digital actions on Friday (through digital striking, which involves taking a photo and posting to social media, and other actions like tweetstorms) as much as we can, so we can bring international attention to the atrocities being done to our defenders.
We're part of two youth-led movements, Polluters Out, and Fridays for Future which together actively have thousands to tens of thousands of people fighting for climate justice online, so we would love to bring our community to uplift your campaigns to protect defenders so we can get coverage for these issues that have way too little media attention and put pressure on institutions to stop their oppressive policies. Internationally, we are covering each region's defenders as such, starting on these dates.
We would love to jump on a call with you, just fill this form out and let's be directly in touch! Otherwise, just message us back here: https://calendly.com/fffdigital/partnerships.We hope you and your families are safe during this difficult time, and hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you,
