Let’s implement the Escazú Agreement
We urge all states in the Caribbean and Latin America to sign and ratify the agreement as soon as possible. We’ve been fighting for the implementation of the Escazú Agreement, since September 27th, 2018. The agreement ensures access to information, participation in the forming of policy, and environmental justice for all.
The people in Latin America and the Caribbean, amongst the most impacted by the climate crisis but those on the frontlines often face human rights violations too.
In 2019 alone, 212 defenders of the environment were murdered—148 of them were from Latin America and the Caribbean.
