Abstract
Does the abstract contain the main objectives, questions/hypotheses, methods, findings, and conclusions?

Introduction
Is the reader properly introduced to the topic? Is the motivation for the research clear? Are the objectives clear? Does the introduction provide information on how the work is organized?

Literature review
Does the author offer a critical review of the main developments in the field and what is missing? Are definitions of key terms/concepts provided? Are the cited studies relevant to the work? Is an appropriate theoretical framework offered?

Research methodology
Are clear research questions/hypotheses stated? Is the research process (context, participants, data collection, and analysis) described in detail? Is the type of research (qualitative, quantitative, combination) appropriately explained?

Findings and discussion
Are all findings from the research adequately summarized? Are the findings discussed in the context of the research questions/hypotheses? Are the findings discussed through the lens of the literature? Are appropriate conclusions and implications for the research context offered? Is the contribution of the research visible? Are limitations of the research stated? Are directions for future research offered?

Conclusion
Does the work contain an appropriate summary of the research?

Are sources referenced according to the required style (APA, 7th)?

Argumentation*
Are all parts of the work logically connected? Is the argumentation clear and convincing? Are the author's views appropriately supported?

Language expression in the text
Is the language clear, concise, and suitable for the genre? Does the author maintain focus?

Oral presentation and discussion of the research
Does the presentation concisely and clearly summarize the research? Does the student demonstrate the ability to critically discuss the work? Does the student's discussion show an understanding of the issues? Is the language expression appropriate for the genre?

Independent research work (only the mentor considers this)
Has the author shown initiative during the work (e.g., in choosing topics, sources, working with sources)? Has the author demonstrated the ability to critically use the comments from the mentor? Has the author shown reflexivity in the context of their development? Overall, has the author shown development as an independent researcher during the creation of the work?
