Weight .vs Force

ok

Weight shift and Force are not the same thing.

Weight shift in my mind can get me swaying which is not the goal. Trying to sway the weight forward and stop at that precise joint neutral position is almost impossible. It causes soreness in my left hip flexor and inconsistent contact. I think I started swaying in C1 with the flat left wrist drill because there is no momentum to shift the weight. In C1 it is better to start with most of the weight forward and just step in to the left side completely - like a chip shot. This notion is subtle but huge.
Force through “stepping” on my right foot then my left foot has restored me to a pain free swing and has restored me to a proper ”post up”. I am feeling the swing’s momentum shifting my weight to the left side. Per the pressure plate videos, it does not measure weight shift but force. This concept is also consistent with some of the TPI training I noticed in this video. Particularly the pushing off exercises with the swivel chair.

My son shared this video with me. Talk about my dream job!
