Real vs Feel

Full Turn

Some of us like me benefit from opening the foot.
With the driver, you want to start with your weight slightly on your trail side or another way to describe it as you want your zipper to be just a bit toward trail side of center, of the plumb line that would be center of your stance. Pre-loading your trail side helps in getting to the lead side properly with your driver. This in effect will put your weight at address and at the top of your backswing in the same position - “Start where you finish”.
If backswing turn feels restricted. Open up the trail foot a bit, it will give you the freedom to turn properly. Restriction can unintentionally cause you to tilt spine instead and reverse pivot. With that right foot open a little bit gives you a little bit more freedom to feel like you can make a nice good turn back.
