Proper Shallow Steep Sequence

Note: TPI is about forces. They are in large part swing principle agnostic. These are fixes to how you swing. They don’t change your swing but rather apply forces to your swing to correct for your swings side effects.
Proper order: (0:20)
Shallow
Lateral move (bump)
Rock or Tilt (side bend)
Steepen
Rotation
Push into ground
Pull left or slice - Over the top . If you steepen from the top. (1:00)
Caused by, from the top of backswing
Rotating upper
And lower together
Fix it by - shallowing moves
Lateral shift
Rock or Tilt
Block or Hook. If you are shallow and stay shallow your ball will be a block or a pull. (2:00)
Caused by proper
Lateral shift
Rock or Tilt
But never stop
Fix it by creating rotation - steepening moves
Push into ground, back and away with lead side - TPI office chair drill
Hip rotation
Testing your physical ability (3:45)
Always steep and above don’t work (4:20)
Get club deeper
Bend over more
Backswing get arms more across body
Use shoulder
Use wrist
Shallow (6:00)
Lateral too much
Or too early
Pushing with lead side causes rotation
