The number of instructional videos on the Internet is overwhelming.

Note that most are trying to monetize their instruction in someway. Meaning, they are really, really good salesman.
That does not make them all wrong. It is just important to understand.
Also, most of them are athletes and have achieved some level of pro or semi-pro golf status. Meaning, most of them have picturesque swings, just like the PGA or LPGA! They are beautiful and effortless. I have learned that is not me nor will it ever be me.
With the exception a few, like Bryson, most impose their own swing concepts on their pupils. Start to finish. Any missed step spells ruin! This is good for them because it keeps you coming back trying to incorporated every element perfectly. Bryson does not do this. He embraces that everyone is a bit different. That’s why I like watching Scottie and Bryson. They own their swings.

The swing is most definitely NOT simple. Sorry! It is never “The ONE thing nobody ever talks about!” Or “The ONE thing 90% of golfers do wrong!” Or….

It is just complicated.
The athletically inclined don’t struggle as much and they can adapt to whatever mechanics and philosophy promoted by their instructor. Many end up swinging identically. Look at most of the PGA Tour!
For the rest of us, I like watching PGA pros that don’t fit the mold. Because I don’t fit the mold. I didn’t learn soon enough or am not athletic enough. My swing is unique. Your swing is possibly unique. Embrace it!
Like Bryson says, “If something does not help after 5 minutes of trying it. Move on!” I agree. Not all feels or suggestions make sense nor should they!

Add a layer to your swing.

If it makes sense. Add the layer. Keep it.
If it does not make sense move on to the next layer.
Some layers may make sense later in your journey.
