Downwind Finish

Know where the finish is! Look at course diagrams beforehand and see if the start line is the finish, or if it is on the other side of the pin or start boat

Before the start make note if the line is skewed one way or the other, you always want to finish on the side of the line that is more upwind
In general, if you can reach to one side of the finish, you want to finish on that side
Make sure you are pointing the pointy thingy at the orange thingy, the less distance you sail toward the finish the faster you will get there and those extra inches matter often
If the race committee has not adjusted the marks and the wind has not changed the favored end of the start is the favored end of the finish
