Alpha Brain Wave Meditation

This is a simple meditation to enter into an alpha brainwave state, inspired by Jose Silva and The Silva Method.
Basics
This is a simple meditation to enter into an alpha brainwave state, inspired by and .
We enter into an alpha state when we are still and relaxed; a state of wakeful rest.
Alpha brain waves can help you feel more calm, less stressed and create deep rejuvenation and healing for your body on a cellular level. They have also been shown to increase creativity!

This meditation will help guide you into and out of an alpha brain wave state.
Items Needed
Timer.
Comfy seat with a supportive back.
Time
Try to spend 10-15mins per day doing this meditation.
Specifics
Read through the entire meditation before starting.
Find a comfortable place to sit, where your back is supported and you can feel the ground with your feet or butt.
Make sure to remove any distracting stimuli: close the door, put your phone on silent, etc.
Close your eyes and bring yourself into awareness with your body: feel your feet on the ground, your butt on the chair, your hands resting on your legs.
Begin counting down from 10, following your breath: visualize and mentally repeat each number 3 times as you count down, with each number corresponding to an out-breath.
With each number, begin to feel more and more relaxed. Start with the top of your head and move down throughout your body, feeling each part becoming more and more relaxed as you go.
Once you reach #1, you will be completely relaxed and at ease.
You can use this alpha state for a variety of things: resting, solving problems, gaining insight, etc. Think of it as a clearer channel to your higher self/source/god. In the beginning, simply use this time for rest and recharge: different ways to use the alpha state can be expanded on later.
Spend 10-15mins here.
Begin to bring yourself out of the deep relaxation by slowly counting up from 1 - 10: visualize and mentally repeat each number 3 times as you count up, with each number corresponding to an in-breath.
With each number, begin to feel more and more energized.
When you get to #10, mentally repeat; “I am feeling wide awake, present and focused, in perfect health, feeling better than before.”
Open your eyes.
