About the role
In your role as Analytics Engineer you will be part of a BLR data product team. You’ll work with the product / project manager in prioritizing tasks and designing solutions to clients' problems, and will be expected to be independent and find solutions to a lot of interesting problems we face regularly such as how to improve performance, identify data quality issues, productize data solutions for use in different use cases, automate insights, deploy ML solutions and others.
You'll be expected to use a combination of Python and SQL to transform data tables into analytical models that data analysts and data scientists can use in their day-to-day work. You’ll work with the internal BLR team as well as directly with client teams.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Design and implement dimensional data models that improve analytics and enable insights based on client business requirements
Build data pipelines that collect, process, and store large volumes of data from various sources
Optimize data infrastructure and architecture while ensuring data quality and security
Find creative solutions to optimize performance when making large data transformations
Implement statistical and ML tools to automate insight generation in data (e.g. removing outliers, clustering data categories)
What we're looking for
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields
Deep knowledge of SQL-based languages and Python or other similar programming languages
Proficiency with data engineering concepts such as Relational database schemas, RDMS, ELT & ETL, data quality processes, and observability
Proficiency with data analysis concepts including running exploratory data analysis, understanding business users requirements, defining and implementing deep insights analyses, and choosing optimal visualization formats
Proficiency with modern data stack tools including Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, Databricks, and Snowflake
Ability to work effectively in a client-facing role
Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate complex business activities, technical requirements, and recommendations
What you'll get
$140,000 -$200,000 yearly salary based on your location
