INTRODUCTION:

Hi how are you?

Don’t worry, it’s good news.

SHORT STORY:

So we’re here today on behalf of VSO, this is probably the first time you have heard of us, right?

We help children all around the world get an education, do you have any children in the family?

I’m sure you agree every child deserves the best opportunity right?

PRESENTATION:

Problem - Unfortunately 1 in 10 children are separated from their families due to wars and natural disasters

Solution - We help these children with their basic needs, provide life- saving aid and most importantly protection from violence.

I’m sure you’d agree the work we’re doing is for a great cause, right?

And I’m sure you’d like to see the work continue too, right?

OVER 45 - CLOSE REGULAR GIVING:

Unfortunately it costs us millions every year to fund the vital work we do, and we don’t receive any government funding so we do rely massively on the public support.

We’ve been in the area for a couple of days and the response has been amazing. Most people said they support a few charities already which I’m sure you do as well right? That’s amazing! Keep up the good work.

The reason why so many people have been jumping on board is not only the amazing work that we do, but because they realised it’s as little as £15 per month, which is ONLY £3.75 out of their weekly budget.

We’ve been asking everyone - if we gave you a few pounds for a whole week, what could you do with that? Not much, right?

Exactly, but when everyone comes together it can make such a massive life-changing difference to these kids and their families.

CLOSING STATEMENT:

So I’m sure just like all the other amazing people we’ve spoken to, we can definitely count on your support too, right?

All I’m going do today is fill out a quick support form, the charity will generate a QR code to make a payment today and a quick phone call to make sure you’ve see my badge.

UNDER 45 - CLOSE ONE-OFF

Most people say they do lots of monthly donations, i’m sure you’re the same! We are not actually looking for that today. We are actually just getting people involved to help with a one off gift, so its not a long term commitment.

My goal is to raise £2000 this week so I’ve raised X amount (Show your tablet) What do you think is the highest amount we have ever got for this campaign? We have received two thousand from one person! Do you want to break that record today?

But seriously, most people can’t do that, so they have agreed instead to help with £200, £100 or even £50 it’s not a lot but it all adds up when everybody comes together with as much as possible, it makes a massive massive difference!

I’m sure just like everybody else we can count on your support too right?
