Consolidation pitch
Before I go, I do have a couple of thank you’s for you and to explain what happens next:
THANK YOU 1 One is from myself- as you can imagine this is not the easiest job in the world, but when I meet people like you it reminds me why I do this. You’ve given me your time today which is the most valuable thing you can give to anyone so thank you for that.
THANK YOU 2 Secondly I want to say thanks on behalf of the children/animals [whichever charity you’re working on] because they are not here to say thank you and I know they would have LOVED to have met you. Now we don’t get much government funding which means that every little bit you do give gives us a chance to help out these children/animals during some tough times.
Each year we’ve been able to care for millions of children [Give example of what £15 per month does for the charity] because of incredible people like you who continue to show their support. When you see your next bank statement, you’ll see your rent, mortgage, bills and I know it’s not the most exciting thing to read, but you’ll also see one from us: minus £15 from [name of charity].
What happens next:
We've sent you an email already, please have a look and follow our social media accounts to keep up with the work we're doing. You will receive your welcome pack within the next 10 days and your exact ongoing donation date too.
The first £15 has already come out today the next one will be: (Work out next donation date and give date to supporter)
If sign up date is BEFORE the 15th of the month: The next donation will be 1st of the upcoming month (EG. If sign up date 14th Feb then the next donation will be 1st of March)
If sign up date is AFTER the 15th of the month: The next donation will be 1st of the following month - 6 weeks after their initial first donation (EG. If sign up date 16th Feb then the next donation will be 1st of April)
You’ve already got an email from us confirming everything. When you get your next bank statement, you’ll see the boring stuff rent, mortgage, bills but you’ll see one from us too minus £15 from [charity name].
Most of your neighbours said they wouldn’t notice it right, it's not that much. But every time you see it, I want you to stop, give yourself a pat on the back, carry on doing what you were doing because you will be improving the quality of life for so may children or [make reference to charity you’re working on]. In the future, when you do win the lottery, please don’t give us any more money, just do it for longer. Because a consistent problem requires a consistent solution.
Most of your neighbours were happy to help us out for at least 12 months as this will help us set up child protection services in the aftermath of an emergency or [make reference to charity you’re working on]. Some of your neighbours said for the rest of their lives, but if you do it for longer, I’ll come back and build a statue of you here myself.
Any plans for the rest of the day?/ Have you had your dinner yet? (go back to what you were speaking about before) Thank you so much, it was nice to meet you, if you see me around give me a wave.
