People+ai’s approach
There are schools in India that only have one teacher. Teachers are the backbone of education delivery, and a critical stakeholder for ensuring quality learning outcomes for the 280m school going children in India. Our approach is to adopt AI to enable teachers in the classroom, and free up their time on administrative workload.
Use Case: Teacher Admin Productivity Tools
Teachers, especially those in low-income settings, often find themselves overwhelmed by administrative tasks, consuming up to 50% of their time. This heavy burden reduces the time they can dedicate to direct teaching and student engagement. AI Use Cases like — automated lesson planning tools can generate comprehensive and tailored lesson plans, AI-driven quiz and test creation, grading, analysis tools can handle assessments efficiently, automatic correction of written assignments ensure consistent and unbiased evaluation, advanced analytics for student performance tracking provide real-time insights, attendance systems streamlining daily roll calls, and AI-powered chatbots offer instant support for student queries — help in easing the teacher's load.
These AI interventions save teachers considerable time on administrative tasks, allowing them to focus more on actual teaching and enhancing the learning experience for students. The primary users of these technologies are teachers in low-income government and private schools, as well as NGOs and educational institutions striving to improve teaching efficiency. By integrating AI into the educational workflow, teachers can provide more personalised and effective instruction, ultimately leading to better educational outcomes and a more engaging learning environment for students.

Why Teachers?
Teachers are the backbone of the educational system, playing a crucial human role no AI can replicate. Our goal is not to replace teachers, but to relieve them of non-teaching tasks. The ideal image of a teacher is someone actively engaging with students, not bogged down by administrative burdens like grading tests or keeping attendance logs. Teachers today are underpaid, overworked, and often overlooked. While the edtech market predominantly focuses on student needs, there is a significant lack of tools specifically designed to assist teachers.
What is the Problem Teachers are facing?
Teachers spend an excessive amount of time on administrative tasks such as filling registers, grading tests, and generating reports. This diverts their time and energy away from the core task of teaching and personalising learning for students. These administrative burdens prevent teachers from addressing student queries effectively, catering to those who need extra help, and tailoring lessons to individual needs. Tasks that can be efficiently handled by AI are wasting their valuable time.
How Are We Solving it?
By automating administrative tasks and tracking student performance, we free up significant time for teachers. This allows them to focus on teaching and creating quality lesson plans, ultimately leading to better learning outcomes and improved student grades. Our solutions ensure that teachers can dedicate their time to what truly matters.

With a focus on improving literacy and numeracy through their open-source platform, SunBird, they enable governments and organizations to create scalable, technology-driven learning solutions. EkStep’s innovative approach bridges gaps in education, ensuring quality learning opportunities across diverse contexts and languages.
They are incorporating AI solutions in their existing platform, Sunbird. Alongside, they have developed E-Jaadui pitara, which is an AI storytelling application to teach concepts, it also suggests activities to parents and teachers to aid learning.
HyperVerge Academy aims to create positive societal impact by upskilling under-resourced individuals, equipping them with tech skills through mentorship and project-based learning. The academy has placed over 100 learners in well-paying tech roles, with a goal to train 1000+ individuals. They focus on personalized learning, experiential training, and holistic well-being, preparing students for successful careers in tech.
HyperVerge Academy is currently developing SensAI - A Socratic AI Tutor, an AI tool for teaching and managing learning tasks.
Involve Edu is a organisation working on empowering students to take on leadership roles in education through mentorship and peer teaching. With a focus on building youth leadership, they enable schools and communities to create scalable, student-led teaching programs that foster responsibility and skill development.
They are currently developing AI capabilities to enhance teaching and learning experience by augmenting teacher tasks and providing contextualised and smart guidance to teachers.
