Terrain Analysis - March 25th, 2026

Summary

The main objectives of these tasks were to become familiar with the ArcGIS Pro tools for specifically Terrain Analysis of the certain trails and terrain. The most difficult learning curve by far was diving into the software and understanding how to better leverage it to create more compelling deliverables! (Definitely seems like that’s been the case for everyone assignment) This should be the case though because if that’s not the case then you’re content with your work and there's no growth. To list a few of the drawings depicted below, as shown in Fig. 1, this covers the displaying the Road Profile and basically what is going to be displayed through the actual finished product. For Fig.2 this displays Brush Valley Creek Watershed, and this also isolates the area of interest. The learning curve for this assignment was definitely learning how to create the Visibility and Elevation Profiles (Fig. 3) because the this meant implement a lot of tools together to extract exactly what I desired to display. Overall, this was a really good opportunity to further become well versed within ArcGIS Pro and continue to hone our skills for future career opportunities!
