Objective & Location

Objective

The main preface of this mission was to conduct flight visible mission to determine how if the distance of 0.35NM was feasible for the Ozone COA over Lake Michigan. We flew the Matrice 300 platform at 400ft AGL altitudes took pictures demonstrating the focal points of the flight crew at that distance demonstrating potential data gathered in the field. From this data gathered we were going to determine if this distance was the best course of action or if additional adjustments were in order to continued pursuits of testing.

Location

Our main base of operations was at the Purdue Wildlife Area. This location had some hazards to be aware of like trees surrounding the property, electrical lines on the south side, and housing/facilities on the west side. The ground was a little damp, but dry enough to conduct normal operations.
