During this lab, we utilized a variety of different software to ensure the proper set up of flight controllers prior to the construction of the Believers. Some problems that we encountered were the controllers were difficult to properly disassemble, and the flashing of software was an issue. This was mainly due to the poor instructions online, so there was some problem solving. Overall, we achieved the desired outcome and are ready to proceed to the next steps in building onto this system.

Group 6 and I was on Software Team with Nico Which 2 DATX # did you modify and how did you modify each one
My team modified DATX #3 by installing V2.7.1 software version onto the controller. Following the instructions on Steps that your team took to complete your task
Following the instructions on and access Downloaded new software onto computer b. Select file within local files and upload
c. Once Uploaded select Flash to USB
d. Turned radio off
e. Plugged in Radio via usb to computer
f. Select STM32 BOOTLOADER
h. Started flashing
i. Unplugged radio
j. Turned radio on
k. Finished once Radio displays screen of “No SD Card”

Steps: used DATX 6 to do the hardware
Looked at two models provided and identified what switches were different, needed to be removed, and switches were considered standard and needed to stay Then we disassembled the DATX Removed 6 screws from the back and carefully separated the two sides Removed the Nonstandard switches by unscrewing the washer Hot glued the Nonstandard switches onto the plastic parts of the DATX Careful to not limit the range of motion of the joysticks Carefully places the two sides together Again, careful to not damage the ribbon Screwed them backed together Importance of each team’s task
The importance of each team’s task was to ensure that the manual controller was functioning properly and that the software was up to date. This reinforces the risk mitigation that the controller is running properly so we have a safe flight. The reliability of the controller is just as important are the airworthiness of the aircraft.
