For this week's Communication Tips Tuesday, we'd like to remind everyone of some important aspects of our Communication Policy and reminding you to sign-off the acknowledgement.
The Communications Policy (Section 6.4)states:
If a rumour (whether from a chat room, newsgroup, or a non-electronic source) is circulating about Oneida Nation of the Thames and employees become aware of it, employees are required to inform the Communications Officer and/or designate and Communications Team so that the information may be refuted as necessary.
and (section 11.2) states:
Employees of Oneida and Chief and Council are not to engage in any derogatory or damaging information about Oneida Nation of the Thames or any employees from the organization on any platform at any time. This will be further enforced in accordance with HR policies and with Administrators/Supervisors.
This rule is crucial because:
It helps maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
It protects the reputation of our organization and its employees.
It ensures that all communications are constructive and supportive.
This policy is strictly enforced according to HR policies and overseen by Administrators and Supervisors.
