Introduction

At CherryAssist, we recognize the importance of attendance and punctuality in providing reliable and quality service to our clients. This policy outlines our expectations regarding attendance, punctuality, and related matters. All independent contractors are expected to adhere to these guidelines.

Policy Statement

1. Regular Attendance

1.1. Independent contractors are expected to report to work regularly and on time according to their assigned work schedules. The independent contractor shall message the appropriate online channels designated by CherryAssist and/or the clients once they’ve logged in or logged out for the day.
1.2. If an employee is unable to attend work due to illness, emergencies, or any other reason, they must notify their supervisor or designated point of contact as soon as possible, preferably before the start of their shift.
1.3. Excessive and unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

2. Punctuality

2.1. Punctuality is essential to meet the needs of our clients and maintain a professional image. Contractors are expected to arrive at work, meetings, and client locations on time.
2.2. Chronic lateness may result in disciplinary action and can negatively impact work assignments and career growth.

3. Scheduling

3.1. Work schedules are determined by CherryAsssist and may vary depending on client needs. Contractors are expected to adhere to their assigned schedules.
3.2. Changes to work schedules or requested time-off should be communicated to supervisors or the scheduling department in advance, following company procedures.

4. Overtime and Flexibility

4.1. Some assignments may require overtime work, flexibility, or adjustments to work hours. Contractors are expected to cooperate and accommodate such requests as needed.
4.2 The independent contractor also has the option of offsetting their hours within the week if needed.

5. Documentation

5.1. Accurate records of attendance, including hours worked and absences, must be maintained and reported as required by company policies and client agreements.

6. Consequences of Non-Compliance

6.1. Failure to adhere to this Attendance and Punctuality Policy may result in disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings, suspension, or termination of employment or contract.

Reporting Absences

If you are unable to attend work due to illness or other reasons, follow these steps:
Notify your immediate supervisor or designated point of contact as soon as possible, preferably before the start of your shift.
Provide clear and accurate information about the reason for your absence and your expected return date.
Follow any additional reporting procedures specified by your client or CherryAssist. This includes providing proof on the reason for absence (i.g. medical certificates, appointment letters, etc. ).

Conclusion

Attendance and punctuality are crucial for the success of CherryAssist and the satisfaction of our clients. By adhering to this policy, independent contractors contribute to a productive and professional work environment.
This policy is subject to periodic review and updates as necessary. CherryAssist reserves the right to modify this policy to align with changing business needs and legal requirements.
