Have you noticed lately how EVERYONE is talking about buying businesses. There are reels, shorts, ads, memes, groups... everywhere you turn, someone is telling you that you should buy a business.
I certainly noticed especially since I’m one of them!
But a lot has changed since I launched my book Buy Then Build: How Acquisition Entrepreneurs Outsmart the Start Up Game in 2018 and my premier accelerator Acquisition Lab in 2020. However, one thing hasn’t changed. My passion around supporting those who want to journey into this world of business buying.
I can only imagine how overwhelming all of the messages are now. When I was buying a business - I felt alone, everyone told me I was crazy and I couldn’t see a clear path forward.
Now I feel it’s the opposite and and everyone is telling you to buy a business but I think it’s important to keep in mind we don’t think everyone SHOULD buy a business.
Buying a business is a very risky thing to do. I’m not here to glamorize it! I just want to ensure that those who make the decision to dive into the acquisition entrepreneur space have high quality resources & advice that protects their future wealth, the communities these businesses are in, and the workforces that are connected to these businesses.
That’s initially why I wrote the book! And it’s also why I created a highly vetted accelerator anchored in world class education provided by experienced Acquisition Entrepreneurs who have done and supported hundreds of transactions. This market is still fragmented and opaque but not it is also crowded and noisy and it’s hard to figure out what to do next.
