User Journey — Valor

I've used Valor as a baseline for the interactions and design exploration
Introduction to the AI System:
The soldier is introduced to the AI system on a tablet, designed with a minimal and intuitive interface.
The AI system explains its purpose and assures confidentiality.
Initial Emotional State Assessment:
The soldier interacts with the AI, which assesses emotional state through voice inflection and language analysis.
The AI detects signs of depression or suicidal thoughts.
Personalized Interaction:
Based on the initial assessment, the AI tailors its interaction to the soldier’s emotional needs.
The AI engages in a conversation, asking open-ended questions to understand the soldier’s concerns.
Active Listening and Support:
The AI demonstrates active listening skills, validating the soldier’s feelings and experiences.
It provides empathetic responses and support, creating a safe space for the soldier to express emotions.
Crisis Intervention (if needed):
If the AI detects high-risk indicators, it follows a crisis intervention protocol.
The AI offers immediate support and guides the soldier to emergency resources.
Resource Recommendation:
The AI suggests coping strategies and resources tailored to the soldier’s specific situation.
It provides information on support groups, counseling services, and other mental health resources.
Follow-Up and Continuity of Care:
The AI schedules follow-up interactions to monitor the soldier’s progress.
It ensures continuity of care by reminding the soldier of appointments and check-ins.
Feedback and Improvement:
The soldier provides feedback on the interaction and support received.
The AI uses this feedback to improve its algorithms and assistance.
Outcome Assessment:
The AI evaluates the effectiveness of the support provided.
It adjusts future interactions based on the soldier’s changing needs.
