Backstory

When I worked at Level Money, we designed a feature called Trackers that allowed people to automatically track spending on specific, custom categories. Instead of spending, this lil’ app manually tracks savings.
This keeps the user’s focus on the positive, and oriented on the limitless amount that could be saved instead of a spending cap. It also requires interaction. Instead of automatically tallying a spending total from connected transaction feeds, this “good friction” creates cognizance - the magic word in habit change.
It’s set at San Francisco prices, with an estimated savings per action.

Make it an “app”

Feel free to copy it, clear out the rows of the Trick List, adjust the values, and Share; “Add to Homescreen” to make a little savings tracker on your phone!
